Tucked away in the delightful south west of Mauritius, the Heritage Le Telfair is in the district of Bel Ombre, one of the quietest and most unspoiled parts of the island. This property is located in a 2500 hectares private estate called Le Domaine de Bel Ombre right by a pristine white sand beach, adjacent to its well know larger sister hotel called Heritage Awali. The hotel sits between the golf course and the ocean with spectacular mountain back drops inland beyond the golf course and close proximity to the wonderful Frederica Natrure Reserve.Email Us Visit resort
The European Tour moved to Mauritius for the first time in May 2015 and the event was a resounding success, the sheer beauty of the golf course terrain came over well on SKY TVs coverage, with ocean and mountain backdrops and stunning vegetation and water features. The Event was an exciting finish which saw George Coetzee hang on to beat Thorbjorn Olesen in a play off, despite his fumble on the 70th hole, he saved himself with an up and down on 17 and a majestic easy birdie on his final hole. The players were hosted at the Heritage Le Telfair.Email Us Visit resort
Heritage Golf course managed by Ryan Dodds is the island’s finest golf course, located in the district of Bel Ombre. The front nine holes start with an exhilarating uphill long par 4, moving up quickly to a plateau boasting wonderful sea views. Short par 4s are a feature where one can take a gamble with the driver. The back nine holes are on fairly flat terrain with a sprinkling of water hazards and the course gradually moves up the hillside offering a challenging long dog leg par 5 with a steep incline up to the green, followed by a lovely downhill par 3. Holes 9 and 18 offer roller coaster tee shots with lots of water in the valleys close to the green. The 9th is a driveable par 4 and the 18th a reach in two par 5.Email Us Visit resort

They are beautifully appointed with French Colonial style and start from 54 square metres, sizeable standard rooms. Other categories of the same size and style at the deluxe ocean view rooms and the deluxe oceanfront doubles. We also highly recommend junior suite rooms and junior suite beachfront doubles and then there are amazing Senior Suites and Ocean Suite, the best of the best.
